This week, Stereo-Type will be featuring the work of New York fashion designer Karen Patwa of DANGEROUS MATHEMATICIANS.





She created her line, Dangerous Mathematicians, in order to fuse her love of fashion with her expertise in mathematics and the physical sciences.
Karen Patwa came into fashion with a pointed goal: to use fashion as a tool to help women reflect their intellectual and sexual power through strong, structured cuts and elegant fabrics.
Her boutique of the same name is located on Rivington Street, on the Lower East Side of New York City. It carries Dangerous Mathematicians label clothing and select European brands.

The newly added lingerie section carries affordable, stylish and edgy pieces, from beautiful bustier and g-string sets to diaphanous french maid outfits.

Brooklyn VS Manhattan

The original Gotham Girls Roller
Derby teams, the Brooklyn Bombshells and the Manhattan Mayhem, will
compete to see who will rank 3rd in the last bout of the regular 2008
season on Friday, September 12th at the Hunter College Sportsplex. The
Bombshells are hurting after their captain, jammer Sassy Hipsaw, moved
away following their June bout, but are hoping to try out some new
lineups and defeat their old nemesis. Manhattan Mayhem, a team with
eight scrappy rookies, has been making a good showing in the
re-configured team's debut season. At the July bout, rookie jammer Em
Dash broke an all-time Manhattan Mayhem single-game scoring record.
