Is Winter ever coming? It’s almost the beginning of Spring which means our busy season is right around the corner and boy do we have some special stuff in store for you that we have been working on all “Winter”. Please look above and SAVE THE DATE!!! Thursday March 29th, SHAW Promotion and Harley Davidson of NYC invite you to a very special party for the unveiling of the new Harley Davidson of NYC custom motorcycles. Andrew W. K. will be hosting as your master of ceremony along with our friend DJ Josh Madden behind the decks plus much much more! A full lineup announcement is coming soon so please save the date. We want to see EVERYONE there!!!

Secondly on our list today I would like to thank all our sponsors and everyone who came out to last week’s charity event “A Second Chance at Love” created and hosted by Pinups for Pitbulls, The Park, and SHAW Promotion. The party was a blast, the bands were awesome, our amazing sponsors 44 North Vodka and Mercy got us drunk (and happily sober again!), and the crowd was stunning. Motorcycles and pups are my two loves, so we couldn’t be more excited to have such great events to be working with. Check out the photos and recap HERE if you weren’t able to make it out!

Now on to this week; it’s a big one! I’m going to start with our headliner and one of SHAW’s oldest clients, Lit’s 10 year anniversary!! Not only are they one of my favorite bars in Manhattan, and not only are they celebrating a milestone in NYC nightlife culture, but they are bringing some of the coolest names to the event this Wednesday including Nick Zinner (of The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s), Prince Terrence and Justine D behind the decks and showcasing the night playing live is none other than Super Touch! We can’t wait to see this performance and hope to see you there.

Also this week we have another installment of DropOut Tuesdays tonight with live performances from Sage and Peter Hadar. For the record, this party is RSVP only because it is so huge, but fear not, we have your exclusive comp guest list which will close at 6:30PM tonight so hit us up! Tonight we also have a new party, House of Commons, a British dance party with DJ Ceremony at The Delancey. On Friday is Girls & Boys presents Dub Police with Caspa, Trolly Snatcha, Subscape & D1 at upstairs at Webster Hall and downstairs at The Studio is the infamous Trash! party with guest DJ Andie Cassette and hosted by Markko Donto (of Wolf Party). We have your guest list right here for both events! The list is extremely limited, so RSVP ASAP!

On a sad note, White Noise is closing its doors, but that of course requires a celebration and our friends,  The Wild Ones, are executing this final goodbye this Friday with DJ Samuel Valentine. I’ve been to the The Wild Ones party a few times including hosting Michael T’s birthday party and it is truly a great rock and roll party at one of the last rock n roll bars. We are sad to see another great venue closing in NYC but I’m sure Mr. Samuel Valentine has some more tricks up his sleeves,  DJing at our March 29th Harley Davidson of NYC party.  Did we mention to save the date??!

Rounding out the weekend is Fuse Gallery presents Joe Heaps Nelson – “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” gallery opening, our good friends .357 Lover are hosting another one of their awesome Spectacular Showtime Show at Big Sky Works in Williamsburg (if you have never seen this band, this is the place to see it!) and check out the new monthly Monday party, Funeral Drive,  brought to you by The Skinny Bar & Lounge with DJ Bride of Wire and Mick Royale, bringing you the best goth, deathrock, darkwave, post-punk, and more the last Monday of every month!

Lastly on our list, this Sunday is the Oscars and we are excited to team up with Kostume Kult once again.  They are having their 7th Annual Oscar gala “Occupy Red Carpet” party at Tamanny Hall! I really love the Kostume Kult wacky events and this will be the best Oscar party in town. Get your $15 presale tickets now!  If you are planning on staying in Brooklyn on Oscar Sunday, JaiDee will be bartending an Oscar party over at Crown Victoria in Williamsburg where they are showing it on a jumbo screen with no cover.

After the action packed parties we had last week, we are pleased to announce that the fun won’t stop! SHAW is bringing another awesome week coming your way, perhaps as a Valentine’s Day gift? As your official Valentine, we have a whopping FIVE parties tonight for you starting tonight. We would like to welcome the infamous DROPOUT party back to the SHAW roster, ah how we missed them! After attending Dropout last week at W.I.P with Deborah Harry and Nick Zinner, I was extremely impressed with how gorgeous the crowd is (gotta love fashion week) and we are so glad to be able to work with them again. Tonight’s DROPOUT party features the very cool band, The Drums, live plus DJ Miss Guy, Any Old Iron 2 Year Bash & Pimps & Pinups! This party is GUEST LIST ONLY and of course we got you covered! Check out the party details and RSVP info to get yourself into this gem, the list closes at 6!

Tonight we also have our friends at Sons & Heirs present “Unlovable!” a Smiths/Morrissey Valentines Day as well as “HEARTBEATS” – A Valentine’s dinner and dance party presented by Azucar and SHAW’s very own Amylulita + Disco Down’s “The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre” and Skinny Tuesdays too to round off the five Valentine’s Day parties we have for ya tonight!

Other very notable events happening this week is  Trash! with the very talented SHIRA performing live this Friday. The Trash party just celebrated their 10th year last week with yours truly hosting it and wow was it insanely good. Or shall I say “Linsanely” good? In the highly competitive nightlife world, 10 years is like a million years and Trash’s achievement and continued success is nothing short of remarkable. It IS the longest running party from SHAW and we will always be behind it 110%. Check out photos from last week HERE!  Be sure to check Shira out at Trash this Friday, it’s on us! On Friday we also have the return of MONDO Indie Dance Party at The Gallery of Le Poisson Rouge. I really like the Mondo party because it is super old school, plus it’s free and you can’t beat that. On Saturday we have another installment of our new monthly Hot Mess! party with the beautiful Fiona Silver performing live.

Last on our list of mentionables, we are very proud to present and be a part of this Saturday’s  “A Second Chance at LOVE” charity event by Pinups for Pitbulls at The Park. We are mega dog lovers here at SHAW Promotion and are very excited to be able to help produce this noble event. My band Bikini Carwash will be rocking out this party along with our good friends and good time lovin’ Screamin’ Rebel Angels. Come support the cause and our bands, if not for us for the pups!!! It is a charity event and all door proceeds go to the dogs, so there is no list, but we did hook up an open bar via our partners over at 44 North Vodka and Mercy. Hello New York,
Is this weather ever going to turn into winter for us? Not that I’m complaining, but it really is starting to freak me out how mild it has been these past few months; very unnatural. Well, nice weather means more going out and wow, what a week we have coming up for you all! We have two anniversary celebrations this week for our favorite weeklies starting with Twig the Wonderkid‘s “Disco Down” 4th year with special guest Michael T tonight (Tuesday) and DJ Jess‘s Trash! 10th!! year this Friday at The Studio. 10 years! Both Disco Down and the Trash! party have a very special place in my heart as I’ve known both Twig and Jess for so many years and have been working with them the whole time. Back in 2003, DJ Jess was the first person to give my spanking new company at the time a shot at promoting Trash which was also brand new and held at Rififi (R.I.P) in the East Village where Twig the Wonderkid was the managing. The success I had with Trash party eventually led us to work with many great ones such as Tiswas, Rated X, Motherfu*ker, and Misshapes parties which put SHAW on the map in NYC nightlife. BAM! Full circle. In lue of this, Jess asked me to host the Trash 10 year anniversary party this Friday and so I invite you all to come down and help us celebrate.

Keeping up with the endless list of hallmark holidays, our friends over at Kostume Kult are throwing an anime Valentine’s Day party, black lite style, and we are still running our “SHAW me the tickets” giveaway contest for this party! So head on over to our contest rules and see how you can win a pair of tickets to this psychedelic love fest. Don’t forget your gear, I think JaiDee found black lite bubbles online somewhere. Contest ends on Friday at 6PM.

This Thursday is also the grand opening of “Corruption at Tammany Hall” A New Burlesque Scandal on the L.E.S presented by DJ Ceremony and Apathy Angel. The show is only $10 and the after party is free. If you are a burlesque performer there will be a special reduced $5 list for ya. Come support and see these gorgeous performers!

We also have the monthly Macaulay Culkin’s iPod and all our other weekly parties at The Skinny Bar and Happy Ending and Girls & Boys party is presenting 12th Planet “The End is Near Tour” at Webster Hall. Happy 2012 everyone, I hope you all had the best New Years Eve possible whatever it was you end up doing (or not doing). With dozens of options given to us by our very special clients, we decided to stay local and rocked out in Brooklyn all night attending Eamon Harkin’s Mister Saturday night party at House of Yes, thank you for the complimentary bottle of champagne! Shortly after the ball dropped, and JaiDee covered every person in glitter, we wandered MeanRed’s NYE party with Nick Catchdub’s where we spread more glitter and finally ended the night in the comfort of loved ones at our friend’s house party a block away from home. Overall, it was a great night and a perfect way to ring in the new year seeing so many friends, clients, and good spirited people all night.

If you are not too partied out from New Year’s Eve, I hope you can enjoy some of the events we have for you this week, because we are about to hook you up. If you spent all your drink money over the weekend and had to pay your rent, we have two parties with open bars on Tuesday, Disco Down at Happy Ending and The Skinny Bar. Also this week, my band Bikini Carwash will have our first show of 2012 at Disco Mike’s “Dancestand” party at The Electric Donkey Show along with Discovery, Jessica Delfino & DJ Bryan Black at Sugarland in Williamsburg; I hope to see some of you there! Next up, we are offering limited comp guest list spots for Designer Drugs at Girls & Boys upstairs of Webster Hall and a very gorgeous and sexy Trash! party at The Studio downstairs featuring rock and roll porn princess Joanna Angel, Liquid Blonde’s Tyler Stone to singer Lady Scoutington and Trash’s amazing go-gos R3alize and Oscar Wildchilde. Like DJ Jess said, “there is NO more attractive party this week!”

I love this annual birthday bash for these two special legends. For those of you who know me, I’m a huge Elvis fan (my youngest dog is named after him); I will go for the king next week.
