The summer seems to be ending as quickly as it had begun; a blink of an eye and September is already around the corner. The summer of 2010 have been one of the best times for Shaw Promotion on both business and personal levels. "The cobbler's son wears no shoes" is what a friend once told me about Shaw Promotion and its true for the past 7 years, but soon it will all change. We have been so damn busy working on everybody elses campaigns that we never have time to focus on us. Now the time has come and I say this very proudly, by October of 2010, we will RELAUNCH www.shawpromotion.com with a spankin' brand new look and we will have also changed up this very newsletter you are reading right now. The Shaw Promotion crew has been working really hard on this revamp project and I cant wait to have a brand new look! It will be the best birthday present I could ever imagine and I aim to be the next big power player in the none-traditional marketing and nightlife industry. I will run my company the only way I know how to succeed, the Shawzy way. I want to give the biggest "THANK YOU" to all the Shaw Promotion staff, especially our new Campaign Manager, and of course I also thank all you pretty young folk for reading our newsletters. I love you all and because of you, Shaw Promotion will feed and prosper!
Also, congrats to ALL the ticket winners that are going to Electric Zoo and All Tomorrow's Parties; we had a lot of fun reading all your emails! For the rest of you who will be in the city for the weekend, we've got your comp and reduced tickets to "Oh You Pretty Things - Children of the Revolution" at Don Hills on Saturday + DJ Questlove & Trash! at Webster Hall this Friday! I will be hosting Hudson Hotel once again this Wednesday for DFA party with DJ Justin Miller and also the upcoming Fashion Week DFA party with James Murphy on September 15th. This party is FREE and I will be your host with the most! Come by, say hi, and drink the free booze on my table. We wouldn't agree to do it every week if I seriously didn't believe this isn't the coolest. Dont be a nerd; come party with us!
On an end note, with a sea of options for Labor Day weekend, I decided to do the one thing I really love to do -- camping with my friends and dogs! This weekend I'll be rafting down the Delaware River with a cooler full of brewskies and my lady around my arm. Im going to have a great blowout holiday weekend and I hope the same for you. Im going to leave you with a photo I took of my dogs Elvis and Thea. My girlfriend and I put them in costumes and set up a toll road on our block and they made $6.25 in an hour just sitting there being cute! We plan on making them youtube.com stars. just you wait!
